Summer Rec

Bluewater Thumb YFC and The Village of Pigeon and Scheurer Hospital are excited to announce the return of the Summer Rec Program!  We are able to provide participants with five weeks of recreation-themed activities Monday through Thursday each week.

Program Dates:

June 18-July 26  (Closed week of July 2-5)

Time:  9 am - 2:00 pm, Monday - Thursday  (Lunch will be provided)

Fees:   Free to village residents, $50 for youth out of village limits

Ages:   Students going into 1st - 6th grade

The Summer Rec Program will keep the youth active by engaging them in a variety of safe, supervised age appropriate activities such as traditional sports, craft projects, active games, fitness and nutrition, reading program, special guest events, as well as unique day trips offsite. The program will meet at the Pigeon Recreation Park, and will also utilize the YFC Youth Center (Epicenter) a block from the park.

The program follows self-monitored guidelines, which will limit the number of participants to 65. The Summer Rec Program maintains a 1:15 Staff to participant ratio. Participants will be grouped according to age and staff will conduct age-appropriate recreation activities.

You can pick up a registration pack at either the Bluewater Thumb YFC office, the Village of Pigeon office, or download one now (see below). Completed registration forms can be dropped off anytime at the YFC office in Pigeon. We are only registering 65 students, and it is first come first serve. Preference will go to village residents first, then out of village youth. Spaces will only be held for those that have completed all registration forms and turned in any amounts of money owed.
